The Opel Monza concept is all set for its debut at the 2013 International motor show at Frankfurt. This stylish vehicle personifies efficiency on four wheels and is a forerunner of what you can expect from Opel in the future. The car is a testimony to the traditional strengths of Opel, combining German efficiency with innovative technology presented in a captivating design while it has focused on two themes which are to be the trademark of all future offerings by Opel. These two themes are maximum connectivity and optimum efficiency.

The first generation of Opel Monza debuted in 1977 and since then, its design has personified smoothness and lightness rather than power. The current model is sculpted with a fine hand so that it gives an impression of waves lapping the shore. The flowing lines of the design is complimented by side sills that taper off in front of the rear wheel arches and a stance that suggests that the car is raring to go. The concept roof line that runs in a semicircular form like a classic coupe but turns slightly upwards before it reaches the tailgate adds a mark of distinction to the design. The expansive doors that swing upwards and absence of a B pillar combine functionality with a spectacular view of the passenger cabin when they open.

State of the art LED projection technology has been used to boost the connectivity of the car. A wide sculpted dashboard acts as a single projection surface where you can customize the information and decoration elements. 18 LED projectors create a multi functional display. Voice control and steering mounted control can be applied to the system to display precise vehicle and driver information and internet and communication. The car is powered by the new generation 3 cylinder 1.0 SIDI turbo engine that uses natural gas and leaves very little carbon footprints.
