The Vauxhall Cascada had been very well received. The new model will be powered by 4 cylinder SIDI units (Spark ignition direct injection). It delivers a power of 200 PS which is 11% more than the current engine. It delivers a maximum torque of 300 Nm – an increase of 70Nm or 30% over the existing model. It is mated with manual transmission.

With this addition, the Cascada now has three different powertrains in petrol variant. There is the 1.4 turbo which delivers 140 PS and 1.6 SIDI turbo that delivers 170 PS of power in addition to the new version which will deliver 200 PS. The lineup of diesel engines include 2.0 liter turbo diesel that generates a power of 165 PS and 2.0 liter bi turbo CDTI which delivers a maximum power of 195 PS.

The latest 200 PS petrol version is supposed to be the forerunner of a new offensive and 23 new models are expected to be introduced into the market over the next 5 years. The model can be ordered from October. It is expected to blend a high level of fuel efficiency and superb refinement with low carbon emissions.
