The Chevrolet Suburban is the oldest SUV on road today and it has become a classic in its own right. So, when it came to the 2015 version, the company has not played around much with the design. Instead, emphasis is placed on the traditional touches of this vehicle.

This theme of traditionalism is very much apparent in the engine and drivetrain of the 2015 model. It is powered by the same V8 5.3 liter engine that develops a peak power of 355 hp and a peak torque of 383 pound feet. It is mated with a six speed automatic transmission and the power of the engine is either fed to the rear wheels or all the four wheels. To this engine is added an electric power steering and a stiffer construction of the body. All these factors will lead to class leading performance in fuel efficiency as claimed by the company. Leaf spring suspension in the rear is standard, though you can opt for Magnetic Ride Control which is a more sophisticated system.

One of the design flaws in the previous models of the Chevrolet Suburban was that reaching the third row seats was quite difficult. The 2015 model comes with power assisted third row seats which can be folded flat and a higher legroom in the second row. The bucket seats in the front are very comfortable and the new feature of front center airbags offer additional safety to the co driver. lane-departure warning system with seat-mounted haptic alerts, blind-spot monitors, forward collision alerts, front parking sensors and adaptive cruise control are optional upgrades which can vastly improve the functionality and comfort of the car. Keyless entry, pushbuttin start, power tailgate, cargo management system, six USB ports and six power outlets are other advantageous features of the car.
