The name of Porsche has always inspired reverence among the car lovers. Now, the new Porsche Panamera has been fitted with a new and improved engine just before the International Motor show at Frankfurt. It now comes with a six cylinder V3 engine. the power is such that the total output has increased by a little more than 20%.

The new engine has a tremendous power output of 300 bhp at 4000 rpm and it delivers a peak torque of 650 Nm at 1750 to 2500 rpm. This is an increase of almost 100 Nm of torque. In order to harness this power and use it most effectively, the car now comes with the renowned PTV+. This is an electronically controlled, fully variable rear-axle differential lock which comes with targeted and individual brake interventions at the rear wheel. It helps to maintain an unprecedented level of agility and steering precision at low speeds while at high speeds, it delivers a high degree of riding stability. The greatest advantage of the PTV+ is that it can effortlessly handle trucks up to 2600 kgs. So, if you are towing a horsebox, it presents no problem.

The power of the new engine ensures that the car takes only 6.0 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. It achieves a top speed of 259 kmph. It has also allowed for retuning the transmission. It now comes with a longer gear ratio for the rear axle. This means, a lower engine speed is necessary to achieve the desired speed of the vehicle. The front and rear axle also comes with anti roll bars. These are somewhat more rigid than their predecessor and increase the sporty feel of the car. The pricing of the vehicle will start from €85300 in Germany.
