Italian manufacturers Alfa Romeo has made a strong reputation over the years for creating high priced sports cars. One of its most famous productions is the ‘Spider’ roadster. It was in production from 1966 to 1993 with only minor changes. In 2013, it was reported that Alfa Romeo’s parent group Fiat has entered into an agreement with Mazda to use one of its platforms to build a new version of the iconic car. At the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the new car’s concept version was unveiled. The ‘2014 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Concept’ is a two seater convertible which is inspired by the acclaimed ‘4C’ coupe sports car.


The exterior design developed by the Alfa Romeo Style Center follows their traditional motto of ‘functional beauty’. The front of the sculpted body is distinguished by the roll-bar cover and carbon windscreen ring. The clamshell shaped headlights is perfectly suited for the front. The car will run on Pirelli tires wrapped around 18-inch front and 19 inch rear wheels. The concept has been given a stunning 3 layer white paint finish.

Inside the manufacturers have used carbon fiber on the central cell to gain proper weight distribution. The premium leather upholstery carries the craftsmanship of Alfa Romeo. Altogether the external appearance of the car is sure to catch eyes and capture hearts.


This is a mid-engine car and the engine is a 1.75 liter four cylinder turbo petrol unit with direct fuel injection. The engine is paired with Alfa Romeo’s famous TCT 6 speed dual clutch auto transmission. The power output is 240 HP and the torque is 260 lb-ft. The car can accelerate from o to 60 mph in an impressive 4.5 seconds. The ‘2014 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Concept’ can reach a top speed of 155 mph /249 km/h.
