2015 Buick Verano Turbo 1 Buick launches updated Verano for 2015

Buick is a historic car brand that has always maintained a steady popularity in USA and several other countries like Mexico, Canada and China. The world’s oldest active American auto brand is currently part of General Motors. In recent years the brand has seen something of a revival and is appealing to a younger demographic. In the 2013 calendar year, 1,032,331 Buick cars were sold worldwide which was record for the brand. The sedan ‘Buick Verano’ was first showcased at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit as 2012 model. The word ‘Verano’ is a Spanish word meaning summer. There are two slightly different versions of the car that are sold in different markets- Buick Excelle GT, which is sold in China and the Opel Astra Sedan, which is sold in Europe. The company is ready with a new version for the 2015 model year. Premium luxury brands like Audi and Mercedes-Benz have begun to take the compact sedan segment seriously. So launching this new car before others can turn out be a wise move for Buick. The car will be available for sales from late 2014 or early 2015.

Because the ‘Verano’ is a very recent model the new version is not a complete overhaul of the original car but more of a revised version of the 2014 year model with few upgrades.

A new exterior color has been added- Dark Sapphire Blue Metallic. The buyer will now have the option to choose an additional package for external appearance. The package includes a rear spoiler and bright chrome front grille. The sculpted nose, long rooflines are intact and the car maintains its swooping look which is considered quite distinguished among Buicks. Overall the car actually looks bigger than it is.

One of the reasons that car critics liked this car was the comfort and ride quality it offers. The interior of the car totally reflects that aspect. The seats are plush and very comfortable. The manufacturers have applied sound deadening for both outside and the inside. This has been achieved with the help of thick floor mats, laminated side glass, three layered doors and acoustic windshield. The passengers will get good isolation from sounds coming from the engine as well as the road. The cabin is spacious and so are the trunk, glove box and console. This car is perfectly suited for a long drive. In the areas of comfort and quietness, the car can even give competition to some bigger four door cars.

Feature wise the new Buick Verano can compete with a brand like Cadillac. The long list of features include-

  • Power windows, power mirrors and locks.
  • Remote start
  • Auto climate control
  • Premium cloth upholstery
  • AM/FM/CD player/ satellite radio/ USB port
