The ‘Kia Venga’ was originally launched in 2009. It was built jointly by South Korean auto makers Kia motors and Hyundai Motors. Recently, Kia’s Italian division has launched a special crossover edition of the car. For now it will only be available in Italy and will come in GPL and diesel engine variant. According to a statement released by the company, only 200 units of the car will be built and sold. However, because the cost of development will not be justified by such low production volumes, it is expected that the model will be made available in other markets as well in the near future.

The new ‘Venga Crossover’ has been based on the Active trim package. The car’s exterior has been made slightly rugged. The key features are- plastic cladding for body, underbody proection for both front & rear, new fog lights and17-inch alloy wheels. Rear parking sensors has been made standard. There is Bluetooth support feature available in the car.

The car will be powered by a I.4 liter 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that creates 90 bhp (67 kW). There is also a more economical 1.4 liter bi-fuel unit developed in association with BRC. It also offers 90 bhp power but has a range of 1,300 km (808 miles) or more.
