Japanese auto maker Nissan first launched the mini SUV ‘Juke’ in 2010. The car was noted for its unique styling and found acceptance among those who look for something different for everyday use. The car’s sales figures exceeded expectations in Japan, USA and also in the European market. To continue the successful run of the car, at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, Nissan introduced a revised version of the car for 2015 model year. The ‘2015 Nissan Juke’ name will be used all over the world except in China where it will be sold as a rebadged ‘Infiniti ESQ.’

The exterior styling is the car’s biggest attraction. It has similarities with both a raised hatchback as well as a compact SUV. The Xenon headlamps on the front have new design and now come with LED daytime light units. The rear bumper is given an aggressive design that complements the tail lights that are boomerang shaped. There are ten body paint colors from which the buyer can choose. Three new shades has been added with the new model– Ink Blue Metallic, Solid Red and Sunlight Yellow Metallic.

The interior of the previous model was slightly criticized in areas like boot space and cabin space. The quality the interior material was also just standard. However, the 2015 model has made big improvements on these fronts. There is 40 % more boot space than before and the materials have improved. However rear space is lesser than some cars in the segment because of the low roofline design.

The ‘2015 Nissan Juke’ comes with three options- 1.6 liter petrol/gasoline engine, a 1.5 liter diesel engine and a new 1.2 liter turbocharged engine.

The 1.6 liter gasoline engine can deliver a good output of 188 horsepower. The 1.2 liter turbocharged engine can generate 117 horsepower and provides decent efficiency and lower emission levels. Juke is available in both front wheel and All-wheel drive system. The engines have option of CVT or manual transmission.
