2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit 5 Dodge improves the Charger Pursuit for 2015In 2013, Chrysler owned brand Dodge introduced a police car version of its popular sedan the ‘Charger’, called the ‘Charger Pursuit’ which became very popular across America. Now for the 2015 model year, Dodge has launched a improved version of the high performance police car making it an ultimate tribute to law enforcement personnel. The official press release dedicates the new model to the heroic men and women of law enforcement. Dodge believes in providing them with a top class pursuit vehicle loaded with modern technology and equipment. For the 2015 model year, the popular police vehicle ‘Dodge Charger Pursuit’ has been redesigned, and enhanced with world-class security and safety features, and pursuit related hardware, a class leading 370 horsepower, advanced all-wheel-drive system, fuel efficiency, all-weather traction and Mopar upfit packages. President and CEO of Dodge, Tim Kuniskis recalled the long heritage of Dodge as a police car and said that the brand is proud to offer a new vehicle equipped with cutting-edge technology. He expressed hope that it will help law enforcement agencies in their daily duty. The new ‘Pursuit’ has been built on the 2015 model year ‘Dodge Charger’. The interior has also been made as driver focused as the driver plays a key role during pursuits.
For the new model there are two engine options- the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine and the 3.6-liter V6 engine. The V6 engine can deliver 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet torque and the V8 engine can create 370 hp and 390 lb-ft torque. Even when fully packed with all the police equipment, the Hemi V8 engine can reach top speed of 60 mph in less than six seconds. Along with the standard rear-wheel drive system, an all-wheel drive system is also available. The new car comes with more than 55 security and safety features like- Driver warning system, Rain Brake support, ESC, Hill Stability control etc.
