German manufacturer Mercedes is not just a maker of great cars but is one of world’s leading manufacturers of commercial/ passenger vans. The range of Mercedes vans is known as the V-Class/Vito/ Viano. Earlier this year, Mercedes had launched the 2014 model year ‘V-Class’. The new model was made more upscale with new exterior and interior design. The German manufacturer continues to expand the range of the ‘V-Class’ with the introduction of the first ‘V-Class’ with 4Matic all-wheel drive, the ‘V250 BlueTEC 4MATIC’. While the official debut will be in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, sales will begin from December. Prices have been already announced in Germany.

The new MPV has four seats on the rear as standard. All the bench seats can be folded and then used like second level for loading. The main highlights are -use of premium quality materials, stylish colors, attention to detail and a sensuous and progressive design philosophy that is a benchmark in its segment. The positivity is enhanced because the new vehicle has perhaps the lowest noise level in its class.

The makers have also paid great attention to the aspect of safety is just as exemplary. A total of eleven driver assistance features have been added to the vehicle. Out of the eleven, Crosswind Assist and ATTENTION ASSIST come as standard. The other optional features include- COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST , adaptive cruise control, system, wrong-way warning ,Traffic Sign Assist, parking assist and LED Intelligent Light System.

The new ‘V-Class’ MPV will draw power from a 4 cylinder 2.1 liter engine with output of 190 bhp, and 440 Nm of max torque. The engine is paired with 7G-TRONIC PLUS auto transmission. The fuel consumption is around 6.7 litre/100 km, while CO2 emission is 177 g/km. It also complies with Euro 6 emissions standard, thanks to the BlueTEC technology.
