Italian sports car pioneer Ferrari has announced that at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October, it would debut the ‘458 Speciale A’. A stands for Aperta or open as it is a drop-top version of the ‘458’. It is the most powerful model from the Ferrari stable. The ‘458’ was launched in 2009 and since then has become very successful and won several awards and acclaims. Now Ferrari is looking to celebrate the model with this top performance version. The model is a limited special edition as only 499 units will be produced. The aim of the model is to combine top performance and pleasure of open top driving and for that purpose Ferrari has added an aluminum hard top that takes 14 seconds to retract/deploy. The roof also helps to reduce the weight by almost 50 kgs.

The new ‘458 Speciale A’ will be premiered with a unique yellow livery with three layers. It is also decorated with special stripes. There are stylish five-spoke forged wheels. The cockpit of the new car has been given a very distinctive look that is inspired from the world of racing. The materials of the interior are very lightweight yet premium. It carries the mark the mark of Ferrari’s signature sophisticated craftsmanship. This is also evident from the molded panels of the doors, the notable finish of the dashboard and the exclusive blue colored carbon-fibre that has been used in the treadplates and the central tunnel. The redesigned seats have Alcantara, 3D technical fabric and contrast stitching.

The ‘458 Speciale A’ has been given Ferrari’s most powerful sports the most powerful naturally-aspirated on road 8cylinder engine. It can produce a mind boggling 605 cv and torque of 540 Nm. Despite such massive outputs it has an emission of only 275 g/km CO2. Thanks to this remarkable engine, the car can go 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.0 seconds.
