Pioneering German car maker Volkswagen has made an interesting new addition to its New Small Family series of cars. To attract buyers who prefer sporty styling, VW has developed a special edition of city car ‘Up’. The new edition is called ‘Street Up’. The ‘Up’ was originally unveiled in 2011. All cars in this range are designed by VW group’s chief designer Walter de’Silva and Klaus Bischoff, head designer for VW passengers vehicles. After its release it was praised by critics and went on to win the prestigious World Car of the Year award in 2012. Rebadged versions of the car are also sold by two of Volkswagen group brands, Skoda and SEAT. Earlier this year, the ‘Up’ was introduced in the Latin American market. The South American version is slightly longer than the European version. The new special edition ‘Street Up’ is currently available for order in Germany and prices have also been announced.

With the special edition, the buyers will get a unique looking exterior. There are special hood graphics and contrasting mirror caps. The suspension in this car has also been sport-tuned for superior performance. Other notable features include chrome surrounds for the fog light and stylish 16-inch wheels. The sporty style can also be seen inside with special upholstery with AC, Radio and a special gear knob.
