Japanese car maker Nissan will be debuting the ‘Nissan March Rio 2016’ edition at the upcoming Sao Paulo Motor Show. Ahead of its public debut, Nissan has revealed the car. Nissan is going to be an automotive partner for the 2016 Olympic Games that will take place in Rio De Janeiro. In spirit of this occasion, Nissan has brought out this special edition of its production supermini car , ‘March’. The ‘March’ is actually the ‘Nissan Micra’ that was first launched in 1982. In the Latin American and some Asian markets, the ‘March’ name is used. As of now, the car remains a design exercise and no production plans have been announced.

The ‘March Rio 2016’ carries a striking white and gold body color scheme. The touch of gold has been used on the lower bumpers, the mirrors, side skirts , roof spoiler and the stylish looking alloy wheels. There are no changes for the powertrain and it has been kept the same as the base model. The car draws power from1.6-liter FlexFuel 16V engine (gasoline or ethanol). The engine can produce 111 bhp of power. The car can hit 0 to 62 mph in only 9.5 seconds and has top speed of a 119 mph.
