2015 Hyundai Azera facelift US spec 2015 Hyundai Azera revealed

South Korean car maker has been building the ‘Grandeur’ sedan since 1986. In several markets around the world, most notably the USA, the model is sold under the name ‘Azera’. At one point of time, it was Hyundai’s flagship model in the US. As of 2014, outside Hyundai’s domestic market of South Korea, the ‘Azera’/ ‘Grandeur’ is sold in China, Middle East and all of Americas with the exception of Mexico. Up to the second generation (till 1998), the model was built as a full sized sedan. Beginning from the third generation, the car has become smaller and is now a mid-size car. The first two generation models were essentially rebadged Mitsubishi models. From the third generation Hyundai began to build the model totally on its own. The fourth generation model received high praise and has won several awards. Throughout its history the Azera/ Grandeur has seen steady sales. A hybrid variant was also launched in South Korea in 2013. However, since the launch of the ‘Genesis’ sedan the sales of this model has seen some decline. But Hyundai is not giving up on the model. For the 2015 model year the US-spec Hyundai ‘Azera’ has seen some updates. It debuted at the currently ongoing Miami International Motor Show.

While the model is easily recognizable, there has been some minor tweaks on the exterior. Changes include revised front grille and bumpers and 18-inch alloy made wheels with new design. The top of the range variant will come with powerful LED fog lights. Hyndai is yet to release photos of the interior but has stated there will be a new central stack that will hold an eight inch screen with Blue Link infotainment system. with an eight-inch display. There are some new safety features like assist for Lane Change, and Blind Spot Detection system/ Rear Traffic alert and more. Hyundai has retained the engine from last year- a Lambda II 3.3 liter V6 engine with 293 hp of power and 255 lb-ft of torque.
