Swedish Car maker Volvo is known for making cars that deliver on the aspects of performance and safety. On such Volvo model is the XC60 compact luxury crossover, that is manufactured in the company’ Ghent division in was first presented as a concept car in 2007 and the production version was introduced in 2008, it has been Volvo’s best selling model ever since. The car has been highly praised for its safety level. The second generation is yet to come out but Volvo gave the car a facelift for the 2014 model year. To keep up with the times, Volvo has also produced a plug-in hybrid variant. Now the company is ready to present the popular model in a new incarnation. Shortly before the start of the Miami International Auto Show, scheduled to take place in the second week of November, Volvo has revealed a special limited edition version, ‘XC60 Ocean Race’. The Volvo Ocean Race is a world famous adventure challenge, in which only the very brave can take part. This edition is seen as a kind of tribute to the brave men and women who take part in the race every year.

The limited edition model has been painted with a metallic Ocean Blue II color. There are special Ocean Race emblems on the front fender and 18-inch alloy wheels with exclusive design. The interior has been changed quite a bit with blonde or black colored leather upholstery with contrast stitching. There are also ‘Ocean Race’ floor mats and sill plates in the cabin.

Those who will opt for the front-wheel drive version will get a supercharged and turbocharged four cylinder 2.0-liter T6 Drive-E engine that can create 302 bhp power and 295 lb-ft torque. The all-wheel drive is fitted with 3.0 liter 6-cylinder turbocharged T6 engine with 300 bhp and 325 lb-ft torque.
