Opel has introduced Karl – their new entry-level model. It will be available at a price of €9,500 in Germany. When the company revealed the city car Karl last year, they said that it will have the starting price of €9,500; they have thus lived up to their promise. This model is the cheapest Opel and is also more affordable as compared to Adam which is priced at €11,750.
The car is very practical and spacious as well. It is 20 mm shorter, its length being 3680 mm; but it has rear doors. It can accommodate five people instead of four. It has a wheelbase of 2385mm and weighs 939 kg. When the 40:60-folding rear bench is folded, the car will offer the cargo capacity of 1,000 liters. With a low curb weight, Karl consumes only 4.3 liters per 100 kilometer. It is equipped with 1.0 ECOTEC that delivers 75 HP. Also, the CO2 emissions are 99 g/km. It runs on three-cylinder, one-liter gasoline engine. The steering and chassis have been designed with the aim of providing utmost safety to the users. The interior is blessed with the award-winning IntelliLink infotainment system. In the exterior, the sturdy chrome bar supports the brand’s emblem. Also present are large headlights and taillights to enhance the appearance.
