BMW has added another luxury car to the premium compact segment. The latest 3-door and 5-door BMW 1-Series cars come with boosted performance and improved efficiency. Armed with the BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the cars are ready to deliver an utterly royal driving experience. The brand new engine, rich collection of equipments and modified exterior and interior are ready to delight car enthusiasts.

With the extended BMW EfficientDynamics technology, the company has further reduced the emissions and fuel consumption. In the EU test cycle, the CO2 emissions amount to 89 g/km. The fuel consumption is 3.4 liters per 100 km and the powerful engine delivers 116 HP. For BMW M135i, the average fuel consumption is 8.0 litres/100 km. The efficiency is 35.3 mpg, while the CO2 emissions are 188 g/km (combined). This six-cylinder in-line engine produces 326 HP, making it a classic sports performer. The car boasts the intelligent all-wheeldrive system called xDrive. This enhances the car’s dynamics and is also responsible for traction and directional stability. BMW M135i xDrive has the average fuel consumption of 7.8 litres/100 km. It has an efficiency of 36.2 mpg, while the CO2 emissions are 182 g/km (combined). The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and can hit the top speed of 62 mph. Advanced chassis technology is present along with rear-wheel drive. Moreover, the distribution of weight between the front and rear axles is 50 : 50, thus ensuring dynamic excellence and greater agility. Buyers have the options of adaptive suspension, Variable Sports Steering, M Sport suspension and an M Sport braking system.

Several factors contribute to an alluring exterior- a long bonnet, short overhangs, long wheelbase, a set-back passenger compartment, sturdy rear wheel arches and a wide track. To add to the looks, the long doors are accompanied by single-piece rear side windows and frameless windows. The front end features larger air intakes and a newly designed BMW kidney grille. The frame looks more dynamic and smart chrome surfaces further adorn the exterior. The car has newly designed headlight units. Moreover, twin circular headlights come as standard along with the LED daytime driving lights. The outer area of the headlight units houses the indicators. Buyers also have the option of full-LED headlights, for low as well as main beam.

Yet other option is Adaptive LED headlights. These follow the path of corners when the road is illuminated. In guiding the beam of light, the car’s speed and steering angle are taken into account. This allows different modes for country roads, urban areas and motorways. The modes are automatically selected in accordance with the driving situation. Also present is a facility for poor weather conditions – High Beam Assistant is featured in the Adaptive LED Headlights.

The interior looks more than perfect with the new cloth seat covers which have an excellent fine web structure. The newly developed cloth/leather combination gives rise to a livelier interior. Other significant features are the white acrylic glass trim strips accompanied by textured surfacing. BMW Radio Professional along with iDrive operating system is present to enhance the luxury. 6.5-inch Control Display has been integrated into the centre console-mounted Controller and instrument panel. The company has also included the favorites buttons and the direct menu control buttons. If the car includes a Navigation system Professional, then the Controller comes with a surface that is larger and also touch-sensitive. This enables easy input of numbers and characters. The onboard monitor is an 8.8-inch display. It has a brand-new and quite a sleek geometry. The high-gloss black paneling features the radio and automatic air conditioning keypads.
