Lincoln MKX has made a grand debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. The technology, personalization options and engine choices it offers, is sure to attract swarms of customers. As the president of Lincoln- Kumar Galhotra told the media, the focus of the company is to provide vehicles that are engaging, as well as luxury refined. This newest launch reflects that focus. The American customers would be the first one to be able to buy the stunning car in the fall of 2015. Other markets include China, the Middle East, Canada, South Korea and Mexico. With MKX, the company has further consolidated its influence in the global midsize premium utility segment.

The most magnificent feature in the interior is the high-end Revel® audio system. It features 19 speakers which have a point source architecture. The system is available on Reserve models and is standard on Lincoln Black Label editions. To make the sound system even more outstanding, the carmakers have incorporated QuantumLogic® Surround Sound technology. The system offers three listening modes – stereo, on stage and audience. Additionally, Clari-Fi™ technology provides the customers real-time and advanced music reconstruction for compressed audio sources. The 20-channel high-voltage hybrid amplifier has been included for optimized transparency and class-leading dynamics. Lincoln MKX Select and Reserve have been blessed with 13-speaker Revel system that delivers the top-notch audio quality.

The interior is full of sundry features that ensure comfort and convenience. Passengers can enjoy the 22-way adjustable front seats. This active motion rids the passengers of any muscle fatigue in the lower back and the upper legs. Also present are five adjustable air bladders in the lower back of the seat. Six adjustable air bladders can be found in the cushion. More features are available to enhance the comfort – power thigh extender and four-way power head restraint. The thigh bolster can be deflated for easy exit. The embedded modem ensures built-in connectivity. The customers have MyLincoln Mobile™ app at their disposal. They can use a smartphone to lock, unlock, start and locate their vehicle. A remote start can also be scheduled.

The standard engine is the 3.7-liter V6. The power output is 300 HP, while the torque output is 280 lb-ft. The engine is accompanied by a six-speed automatic transmission which has a push-button shift as well as SelectShift®. Front-wheel drive is the standard, whereas Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is optional. The body structure has been enhanced by including the integral link rear suspension. The car features Lincoln Drive Control that ensures excellent performance and offers three modes: Normal, Comfort and Sport. Moreover, the car has standard electric power-assisted steering.

Several features are available to ensure that the driver has the most comfortable driving experience. These include adaptive cruise control, blind spot information system, lane-keeping system, height-adjustable hands-free power liftgate and the cross-traffic alert. The 360 degree camera is available to provide assistance in low-speed parking. The 180-degree split view has been provided to help the driver during cross-traffic situations. The ultrasonic sensing system consists of 12 sensors. This enables the several parking-assist features such as front rear side sensing, park out assist and perpendicular & parallel parking assist. The pre-collision assist is also available, that helps to avoid frontal crashes with some other vehicle or with pedestrians.

The front looks riveting with full-LED lamps that are subtly executed as blades. When the car accelerates form 0 to 35 mph, the LED lamps are quick to adapt- through the use of additional LED reflector elements, width is added to the low-beam pattern. The lower LED daytime running lights gently brighten when the driver with key fob is within a distance of 9 feet from the car.
