Jeep has taken the wraps off Wrangler Black Edition II before the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. This brand-new model will reach the European showrooms this summer. It is based on Jeep’s Wrangler Sahara. The exterior features 18-inch alloy wheels, headlight surrounds and grille inserts- all of which are black. More black can be found in Mopar fuel cap, wheel cover and the badges that adorn the model. The four liveries are Black, Bright White, Billet Silver and Firecracker Red.
In the special edition, the company offers Dual Top package that comes with three piece hardtop and also a soft top. The removable three panel hard top has been designed to match with body work. The soft top provides an enjoyable open air driving experience.
The interior has limited changes, but the company promises that it will be equipped with several useful features. The front seats are heated and the lateral front air bags are also standard. The seats are covered in black leather and black polished accents further enhance the elegance of the cabin. The infotainment system Uconnect features GPS navigation. It features 6.5 inch touchscreen, AUX-in, USB port, DVD video reader and also 40 GB hard disk. Customers shall have a special accessory package including various goodies like – cargo bag, multifunctional tool and the sticker ‘Jeep Owners Group’.
The Wrangler Black Edition II comes with two types of engine. The first one is the turbodiesel 2.8 liter engine, rated 200 PS and 460 Nm. The other one is the Pentastar 3.6 liter V6 which gives 284 PS power and 347 Nm torque. Both of them are accompanied by five-speed automatic transmission. Command-Trac NV241 is the part-time traction system that ensures excellent off-road capability. It has the two speed operation – shift-on-the-fly with which the driver can select the kind of traction.
