Mercedes-Benz has unveiled SL-Class 417 Mille Miglia. The car would be making its public debut at Geneva Motor Show next month. The company had introduced Mille Miglia special edition for the SL320 and SL500 models of R129 generation, way back in 1995. Now the same would be done for the SL400 and SL500. These are being launched to celebrate 60 years since the SL –having the race number 417 was the winner in its class at Mille Miglia. The Stirling Moss was the champion in the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.
The SL400 comes for €14,000. It is armed with a V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine that churns out 333 HP. As for the SL500, it will be available for €12,800. It runs on a V8 4.6-liter twin-turbo that gives 435 HP. For both engines, adaptive dampers are present as standard. Customers can get Active Body Control (ABC) by paying some extra bucks. The company has brought about several changes in looks, such as red accents on the rear apron, front spoiler lip, brake calipers and also on the 19-inch front as well as 20-inch rear alloy wheels. The interior cabin also boasts red and matte carbon accents. The lettering ‘Mille Miglia 417’ can be seen on the headrests.
