A car that made its world premiere at this year’s Chicago Auto Show is the Acura RDX. This luxury sport utility car has been refreshed and reenergized. This car will be available at all of Acura’s dealerships starting from the spring. The nationwide availability plus the fact that it was highly awaited and coveted is guaranteed to boost the sales of this car. LED projector headlights have been received by this car. They have been appropriately named as Jewel Eye headlamps. New LED taillights and several technological features that provide protection have also been added to this model. The engine has been modified and along with it driver-assistive features have been added.

The MDX version has also been upgraded and now comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission system. These modifications ensure that the both these models have a chance of creating sales records similar to their predecessors. Mike Accavitti, the senior vice president and general manager of Acura says that the team of this brand is not satisfied with the titles and success they have achieved in 2014. The modifications in technology, performance and styling increase the chances of this model to stand out as the best SUV in the entry segment, added Mike.

The 3.5 liter V6 SOHC i-VTEC engine along with the VCM deactivation technology boosts the performance of this model. The maximum horsepower achieved is 279 and the highest torque offered is 252 lb-ft. A powerful and immediate response to acceleration is generated through the broader torque curve. Through the VCM technology two of the six cylinders of the engine can be deactivated when the engine is not under heavy load. This technological advancement allows the 2016 model to reduce fuel consumption and emissions as well. The steering system has been updated; the stiffness of suspension mount has been increased, thus offering further refinement to the driving system.
