Porsche has come up with a GT Sports car that is based on the Cayman – which is made from the components of 911 GT3. The awesome performance of the car is evident from its lap time of just 7 minutes and 40 seconds, on the North Loop of Nürburgring. This new model has been produced at Motorsport department in Weissach. This latest model by Porsche will made its debut at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. It is available for order, in Germany, at a price of 85,779 euros- that includes country-specific features and VAT. The car will hit the showrooms at the end of March 2015.
Porsche has configured the car’s aerodynamic design, engine, brakes and chassis for maximum driving dynamics. Even then, Cayman GT4 is versatile and great for everyday usage. The car is equipped with an excellent brake system that is rich with all the components present in 911 GT3. The chassis has been lowered by 30 mm. The car runs on a 3.8-litre flat-six engine that generates 385 HP. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox that is accompanied by dynamic gearbox mounts. The car is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 4.4 seconds. It can hit the top speed of 295 km/h. The fuel consumption is 10.3 liter per 100 km.
In the interior, the seats are adorned by a mix of leather and Alcantara. Comfort has been enhanced with very good lateral support. Due to compact dimension of the steering wheels, drivers can enjoy direct steering feedback and ideal control. The exterior features three distinctive inlet openings – visible at the front and also a fixed rear wing. Customers can request the car to be equipped with the following – carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) seats, PCCB ceramic brake system, custom Sport Chrono Package consisting of Track Precision app and also a Club Sport Package.
