Prologue Avant concept has been officially revealed by Audi, even before the model’s debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The wagon has a dashing front fascia sporting a broad single frame grille that gives the car an aggressive look. On either side are present Matrix Laser headlights along with the attractive air intakes. The rear accommodates sturdy fenders. The doors are handle-less and can be operated by using a discreet sensor. The sensor is integrated into window surrounds made of aluminum. The spoiler is tailgate-mounted and other features are 22-inch alloy wheels and 3D headlights.
The interior has been made luxurious by selecting the finest materials. It features ash wood trim, aluminium and the seats are covered in Unikat leather. The infotainment system has three touchscreen displays along with two OLED displays that are detachable. The OLED displays are for the entertainment of the rear seat passengers. The cabin also features four separate seats and center console that that is long and elegant.
The car runs on a plug-in hybrid system. It comprises of TDI 3.0 liter engine along with an electric motor. The car has lithium-ion battery (14.1 kWh). Armed with such technology, Prologue Avant can churn out an impressive 455 PS power and 750 Nm torque. The car takes just 5.1 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/hr. It can attain a 250 km/hr top speed. It consumes 1.6 liter per 100 km. The fuel economy is 176.5 mpg for UK and 147 mpg for USA. On just electricity, it can cover a distance of 54 km.
The performance is made even better with the efficient air suspension that is adaptive and also the carbon ceramic brakes. The car has an all-wheel-drive system. With this dynamic system, the rear wheels can be turned to maximum of five degrees. This makes possible good stability and effective handling.
