The Special Edition of the Octavia RS 230 by Skoda is all set to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is powered by 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine that delivers a maximum power of 169 kw. It now takes only 6.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. This is one second improvement on the base model. The top speed has also risen from 248 kmph to 250 kmph. It is therefore the fastest series produced Octavia till date.
This is the first Skoda car which is equipped with electronically controlled differential front axle lock. This has vastly improved the cornering capabilities of the car. This perfectly complements the increased power and acceleration of this model. In fact, sports theme is the defining theme of this car. Skoda has always been interested in sporty look and feel and this is now being vigorously implemented in this model. The nametag RS 230 refers to the 230 hp of power that the car now develops.
Less than two weeks is left before the model to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show. It will become available for sale in the showrooms by middle of June.
