The foglamps are located at the extreme outer edges of the car’s front. They feature three adjacent units of LED and have a decorative surround as well. The trim element on the Convertible features chrome. Whereas those of Coupe and Gran Coupe is high-gloss black.
Full LED headlights come as standard for all the models in the series. The car makers have developed a new design for the headlights. The indicators have been integrated into accent strip that cuts across top of headlights.

The bumper trim features a chrome strip. In the six cylinder models, the rear apron has enlarged surrounds for tailpipe embellishers of the exhaust system. The diameter has been enhanced from 80 mm to 90 mm. BMW offers a multi-spoke design as optional on the 20-inch alloy wheels. The models get new body paints- Jatoba metallic, Glacier Silver metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic, Melbourne Red metallic and Mediterranean Blue metallic.
The appearance of the center control is enhanced with high-gloss black surface surrounding control units for air conditioning and audio system. The range of engines comprises of petrol V8 unit that churns out a massive 450 hp. Another member is the six-cylinder petrol engine that gives 320 hp. The straight-six diesel engine produces 313 hp. All of these are equipped with BMW’s technology TwinPower Turbo that has been developed under the banner EfficientDynamics. All the units comply with EU6 emissions standard. Moreover, they include Steptronic eight-speed sport transmission as a standard feature. It has a great internal efficiency and a very efficient shifting ability as well.
As it is typical of BMW cars, they feature rear wheel drive but customers now have the option of xDrive – the intelligent all-wheel drive. The system serves to make BMW’s new launch even faster. With xDrive, 650i Gran Coupe and 650i Coupe can sprint from a standstill to 100 km/hr in 4.4 seconds.
EfficientDynamics comes as standard and reduces the emissions and fuel consumption too. All the three-Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe run on six-cylinder petrol engine that cuts down on fuel consumption by 0.2 liters per 100 km, as compared to their predecessors. In the diesel models, the fuel consumption ranges from 5.5 to 5.2 liters/ 100 km. This results in fuel economy of 54.3 to 51.4 mpg. As for the CO2 emissions, they amount to 147 – 139 g/km.
