NanoFlowcell has introduced Quantino in Geneva. This electric vehicle is very appealing. It is dynamic and sporty and most importantly, comes with low-voltage drive system. The rated voltage is just 48 V. With this, company has achieved four times of 25 kW that calculates to 136 HP. The car features a combination of electric motors and buffer system by NanoFlowcell. With this system, the car can attain the top speed of more than 200 km/hr in purely electric mode. The range of 1,000 km can be covered, without damaging the environment with harmful emissions. Quantino has been created for everyone. It comes at a reasonable price and features a singular design as well. Rather than being only a concept vehicle, this car will be physically realized this year.
Low-voltage systems enable the generation of such amount of drive power that was previously thought impossible to achieve. But the company says that this is just the beginning. As evident from the results of the simulations and the initial tests, the technology has a lot more potential. The concept is a replacement for electric mobility in the future. Moreover, it gives excellent drive power and huge ranges as well.
The car has two tanks of 175-liter capacity each. In total, the car is capable of carrying ionic liquid of 350 liters. One of the tanks will carry positive charge while the other one will carry negative charge. The procedure for refueling is same as the one that is currently being used. The only difference is that, the two tanks shall be filled together and each one will have a different fluid. Looking at the past, one can infer that low-voltage systems have mainly been features on vehicles having quite low drive outputs. With the launch of Quantino, it is the first time that such a system is being used in a large passenger car.
