The Mitsubishi L200 is an excellent work vehicle that blends reliability, comfort and functionality. The exterior features a muscular body that has a distinct character line. The sporty and dynamic looks are accompanied by the J line that separates the cab from the cargo bed. Adding to the appealing looks and spacious interior is the smart color scheme. The cabin features surfaces that are soft to touch. Other than being attractive, the vehicle is loaded with various safety features too. It comes with SRS bags; a total of these seven bags provide protection to the occupants in case the car meets with an accident. When a trailer is being pulled, the Trailer Stability Assist, will come into play and thus help in keeping the trailer stable. The Lane Departure Warning will warn the driver, in case the vehicle moves out of its lane.
The noise levels have been kept at bay by the careful use of damping material, sound-absorbing as well as vibration-absorbing material. The body stiffness too has been enhanced for this purpose. The improved suspension makes the ride smoother. As on its predecessor model, the L200 too has the turning radius of 5.9 m. The steering ratio has been decreased. Together, the two features give rise to improved drivability and a steering that is more responsive.
The L200 is armed with turbocharged MIVEC 2.4-liter diesel engine. This 4N15 engine by MMC features the Go idling stop and Auto Stop systems. The CO2 emissions are 169 g/km. The geometry turbocharger is variable and enables the delivery of massive amount of torque. It gives rise to smoother acceleration and makes the response almost lag-free. The drivetrain on this model is Super Select 4WD-II, which is the same as that on Pajero all-round SUV. It is a four-wheel drive and the driver can choose from four modes.
