RAV4 Hybrid 2016 is the eight offering of Toyota in hybrid models. The car would be launched in four trims – LE, Limited, XLE and SE. RAV4 Hybrid flaunts refreshed looks that are sleeker and also reflect the power that lies under the skin.
The car makers have agreed to the feedback given by customers. As a result, this new model has an interior that is more technologically advanced and refined as well. The cabin has been blessed with the most interesting and useful technology. At the same time, Toyota has taken care of the other aspects too that customers would want- beauty of the cabin and use of high quality material that ensure royal treatment to the occupants. In the interior, can be seen greater amount of premium materials. Other than the LE trim, all the other trims get a steering wheel wrapped in leather. The car makers have ensured quality to the finest details. This can be seen in the lower dash and upper door panel, for which they have used soft touch material. High quality of the materials is perfected by the appealing color scheme. The interior comes in Beige and Tan. The SE buyers are provided with the combo Tan/Black.
Coming to the technology, the TFT multi-information display of 4.2 inches has been incorporated and the gauge cluster has been revised. The audio touchscreen is a touch-sensitive 7-inch display. The interior shifter too has undergone upgradation and the bezel material for window/lock control is yet another new feature. The occupants in the front get additional USB. While the rear passengers get a power outlet of 12 volts. Toyota has been smart to include a small change that can be of great convenience to customers. The design of the cup holder has been modified and it can now hold tall mugs having handles. The sunglasses holder too has been revised.
There is a lot more to the technological aspect. Toyota has provided parking sonar for both front as well as rear. Smart Key too is present and another cool feature is the garage door opener Homelink®. The latter is featured as standard for the Limited model. As an option, people buying LE can have a navigation system based on Scout cell phone. The Limited, XLE and SE models have SiriusXM All-Access Radio as standard. It comes with a complimentary trial of three months.
For the first time, Toyota offers Bird’s Eye View Monitor. This involves the use of four cameras mounted on side mirrors, front as well as rear. The drivers get a panoramic view of the car’s surroundings. Also, drivers have assistance at the time of parallel parking and pulling into/out of parking lot. Bird’s Eye View Monitor has a feature that is an industry-first. Called Perimeter Scan, it provides the drivers with a 360 degree rotating view of the car’s surroundings. This helps the drivers to notice obstacles on the track.
The innovation does not end here. 2016 RAV4 is one of the first models in USA to have Toyota Safety Sense. This is a package full of safety features that have been crafted using top-notch technology to ensure utmost safety of the occupants. Here goes the list of safety features – Automatic High Beams, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Forward Collision Warning and Pedestrian Pre-Collision System. Limited model will get Toyota Safety Sense as standard.
The exterior boasts LED trifecta that is – Daytime Running Lights, Hi-Lo Headlights and headlights. Viewers get the impression of a flowing body as they glance from lower rocker panel all the way to rear bumper. The new lift gate and rear bumper have been offered along with attractive LED taillights.
