Infiniti has taken production of its 2016 Infiniti Q30 to Sunderland, United Kingdom, creating an additional 300 jobs. Increased production will surely fill the market needs of those wanting increased interior space with outstandingly classic exterior. Few vehicles will be able to successfully compete with the design produced on the 2016 Infiniti Q30. Infiniti’s goal is to satisfy new and existing customers with a premium compact vehicle that will use less fuel while still providing the levels of interior space and other amenities that premium level customers are accustomed to experiencing.
The facility in Sunderland, UK, has been completely refurbished, with an additional section being added. Building and refurbishing cost Infiniti £250 million, which is deemed a worthwhile investment, and will be functional for many years of production. The search for employees was recently ended, and successful applicants gaining coveted positions at the company.
Plans for hiring additional employees in the future have not been mentioned, but it is common in the automotive industry to hire additional personnel in additional years, especially when other vehicles’ production are placed in a different facility. At present, the 2016 Infiniti Q30 is the only vehicle that will be produced at the Sunderland plant.
Fulfilling Market Demands in the UK and Elsewhere
The 300 new employees will be able to keep up with desired production rates easily, and the number of 2016 Infiniti Q30 will certainly be adequate enough to fulfill the demands of not only the UK market, but also the markets of other countries worldwide. The release of the Infiniti Q30 will increase Infiniti’s reach, as stated by Infiniti’s president, Roland Krueger, by providing “a strong foundation for future growth globally and in key regions.”
Mr. Krueger’s goal is to provide the markets in the entire Americas, from Canada to Argentina, China, Western Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. In the first eight months of 2015, Infiniti has sold 14% more vehicles than it did in the first eight months in 2014. This is part of a 12 month-long selling streak in which each month surpassed the corresponding month in the preceding year.
The designers responsible for the 2016 Infiniti Q30′s design have done a fantastic job of improving on the initial model, released in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2013. The visual appearance is a promising precursor to the delectable ride awaiting those who are lucky enough to purchase one of the 2016 Infinitis. The SE is complemented by a Premium model, and also by a Sport model. Customers, from business executives to soccer moms to those rugged individuals who’ve needed a vehicle that could not only get them wherever they wanted to go, but also keep up with their desires to go farther, will find the Infiniti Q30 is designed to suit their needs beyond their expectations.
The design of the Infiniti Q30 is a pleasant and welcome surprise. Some new models seem ugly at first to many, but eventually become more accepted. The Infiniti Q30 more than makes up for this shortcoming of other vehicles. Its height draws attention in a manner that is charming, not demanding of attention, and its sculpted appearance keeps that attention.
The interior is roomy enough for a family plus friends, and all the gear needed for short adventure trips. The plush upholstery will suit the tastes of everyone, and the console setup provides space for everything possibly imagined. Other aspects of the Q30 can be tailored exactly to the buyer’s specifications, ensuring that no two vehicles need be identical. This ability to custom tailor individual aspects includes the trim, which can not only be designed as thinly or as thickly as desired, but also to the trim on the wheels. Other aspects are also included in this service that leads to greater personalization. It is very easy to make one of these 2016 Infiniti Q30′s one’s own when the buyer can help design the final touches.
Possible Future Implications
This vehicle is as beautiful as any of the more expensive ones on the market, but Infiniti’s plan is to provide these to those who cannot afford the most luxurious vehicles available. This most certainly will pave the way for Infiniti to increase sales, and hopefully, increase the quality of other makes of cars in the near future.
