The 2016 Nissan Altima SR gets a make over with a bolder, higher quality appearance. The new look is similar to that of the Maxima. The redesigned body offers up a wide lower bumper and a chrome-trimmed V-Motion grill. Both front and rear now sport boomerang shaped LED lights. A few changes to the rear include a new trunk lid, low bumper accent, and an integrated spoiler. To add a final touch to the outer appearance upgrades, aluminum alloy wheels are available in both 17 and 18 inch. Color choices include: java metallic, brilliant silver, gun metallic, super black, cayenne red, pearl white, glacier white, storm blue, and new for the 2016 model-deep blue pearl.
Nissan also gave a fresh look to the interior of the Nissan Altima SR. The charcoal cloth features a more open weave pattern with blue contrast stitching. The blue sport interior accents are also on the steering wheel and door panels. The steering wheel and gear shifter are both leather wrapped. The twin cup holders have been upgraded to accommodate mug handles. The “gliding wing” interior is complete with a revised C-Stack which houses a 5 or 7 inch display for the NissanConnectSM and the NissanConnect Navigation (both with mobile apps).
The changes in design are sure to keep the Altima in Nissan’s top selling spot.
