Range Rover has announced that it is launching its brand new 2017 Evoque Convertible. Just a few years ago the idea that Range Rover would have made a convertible version of one of its vehicles would have seemed unlikely. Yet the company has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround with new models such as the Evoque that adds a wow factor to Range Rovers to go alongside the reliability and good performance they have always had.
Not only does this new Evoque look impressive its performance is highly impressive too. Range Rover have excelled themselves with this elegantly designed vehicle. Elegance is something of a hallmark for both Land Rover and Range Rover these sdays. An extra wow is earned by the fact that the Range Rover Evoque Convertible is the first luxury SUV convertible ever built. The company anticipate that the Evoque Convertible will increase its share of the luxury SUV market. This market is forecast to increase by 20% over the next five years, with Range Rover aiming to take advantage of the growth.
The Evoque Convertible works so well as a convertible due to the elegant design of its roof. The roof looks great when it is up, and its elegantly. The roof folds so effortlessly that people may not notice what a design and engineering feat it actually is.
As you would expect from Range Rover the Evoque Convertible has great on road and off road performance, its powerful engines making it an excellent vehicle. As with the standard and coupe versions of the Evoque power comes from Land Rover’s lightweight engines. There are petrol and diesel version with really good fuel economy considering the vehicle’s other impressive specifications. The petrol engine version can achieve 55mpg or 5.1l/100km.
The Evoque Convertible is available from the Spring of 2016 and is made at the Range Rover plant at Halewood, England.
