The 2017 Toyota Highlander is a comfortable, spacious mid-size family SUV that has been revamped inside and out. It will be released it the 2016 New York International Auto Show and will be available in showrooms the fall of 2016.
The 2017 Toyota Highlander will be available in six models; LE, LE PLus, XLE, Limited and Platinum Limited. These are gas vehicles that are available as front-wheel and AWD. The V6 Highlander will come with a new Direct Shift 8 Automatic Transmission that is compact and more efficient. A new stop and start engine system will be standard as well to help conserve on fuel.
The 2017 Toyota Highlander has the option of a three row seat and can seat up to 8. In place of the third row, there is also an option for a second row captains chair for seating up to 7. There will be a brown leather interior option on select models as well. The 2017 Highlander will also now house five USB ports for charging personal devices.
The exterior of the Toyota Highlander will have a new design as well. There will be three new paint options; Celestial Silver Metallic, Toasted Walnut Pearl and Salsa Red Pearl (on select models only). The upper and lower grilles and headlamps and rear taillights will have a new, sleeker, updated design for all models.
Safety comes first with the new 2017 Toyota Highlander. It will come with new Toyota Safety Sense technology built in. This system includes a pre-collision and pedestrian pre-collision system, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, dynamic radar cruise control and blind spot monitoring. Certain models will also have a Bird’s Eye View camera with perimeter scan for parking assistance.
The new 2017 Toyota Highlander models will be available in the fall of 2016. Be prepared for a new, sleeker, modern, luxurious look and feel in a vehicle where safety comes first and comfort and space comes second.
