BMW’s North American division announced the availability of a new ‘Competition Package’ for the 2011 model year M3 Coupe and Sedan. The package promises to further improve the cars’ handling dynamics by adding a 10mm lower suspension and 19-inch alloy wheels with greater offset for a wider track.
Update: In a rather weird twist of events, we received an email from Active Autowerke, a BMW tuning company based in Miami, Florida, claiming that the BMW M3 featured here was not developed by Avus Performance, but by Active Autowerke and Vorsteiner. In fact, the US firm’s Director of Sales and Marketing told us that this is his own personal vehicle.
BMW is milking offering buyers of its X6 that might want the M version of the Sports Activity Coupe but need to think of other things in life such as house payments an alternative proposal in the form of a new line of retrofittable performance and styling options that can be bought separately.Starting from June, BMW’s Performance division will offer a new Power Kit that includes an ECU update for the V8 powered unit in the X6 xDrive50i and the straight-six in the X6 xDrive35i.
It’s no surprise that tuners are coming out of the woodwork to modify the all-new CR-Z. A mere 3 days after Spoon’s announcement to tune Honda’s latest hybrid, famed Japanese tuner HKS has dropped hints (a.k.a. a whole bunch of photos) that it’ll be offering upgrades to the car’s looks, suspension and exhaust system; standard fare.
